Dos yanquis enamorados llamados Tessa Ely y Dillon Vought tardaron nada menos que un año y medio para viajar desde Alaska a Argentina en una combi. Lo llamativo es que esa catramina Volkswagen de 1975 les salió apenas 500 dólares. ¡Una verdadera ganga!

Los tórtolos, aburridos por sus situaciones laborales (Ely era profesora de educación especial y Dylan administrativo en una oficina), decidieron hacer un cambio radical y se animaron a hacer un viaje que les cambiaría la aburrida rutina de sus vidas para siempre.

La combi, cariñosamente apodada “Rita”, fue adquirida en 2014 y pasaron un año arreglándola. Para la aventura ahorraron además unos 15.000 dólares, que obviamente no incluía ningún itinerario estricto. Por lo que se ve en las fotos de Instagram, la travesía de estos dos delirantes valió la pena…

We are convinced there are few things more precious than having people you love snuggled together in a cabin in the snowy peaks of Alaska. What a way to ring in Tessa's 29th birthday. Even our favorite wolf dog nephew @anchoredinalaska made the trek out to celebrate.

Solo Alcan trip in stop motion. I set the camera to take a picture every ten seconds. – Tessa flew out early to teach preschool for the remainder of the school year which left me to drive a few thousand miles from Revelstoke, BC to Anchorage, Alaska alone.
